I wanted to upgrade my home near Lochinver with a modern, reliable heating system. I knew I wanted to move away from fossil fuels, but I was unfamiliar with the alternative technologies and how to choose the best option. So I contacted David at The Energy Saving Store in Dingwall. He came over, assessed my property, and explained the various alternatives. He then came up with a design concept and went on to manage the installation, using his trusted partners. I now have an air-to-water heat pump powered by roof-mounted solar panels with battery storage.
At the beginning of all this I was nervous and quite daunted at the prospect of committing to the new technology. But David's knowledge and enthusiasm provided all the reassurance I needed. After hearing about the Energy Saving Store at 4 High Street Dingwall opposite Harry Gows shop we decided to pop our head in for a wee look well what a great shop.

We had an installation from a solar company a few years ago now no longer trading. David from the shop popped out to have a look at the site he wasn't overly impressed and it wasn't really doing much in production.
David told us about an upgrade to solar edge and we pondered about spending more money on it.
Well what can I say David's contractors have made this system fly this time we are so happy and the water heater switch was activated to send any spare electricity into the water tank.
We also got some superb ceiling lights by Mark Lighting from David's shop what great products and service and my 2 superb 6 foot strip lights for my garage.
No fuss no faff just good old fashioned quality service and much appreciated.

We were new landlords looking to rent out a property. We had not realised that the property needed to be a min energy rating to do be let. David came and advised us what we needed to do to bring it up to the level expected by Scottish government. The most important thing was that he helped us understand the funding that is out there for renewable heat options. I originally contacted the energy saving store to complete an EPC on my property. We had previously been advised to spend a lot of money making large changes to the property to make it more energy efficient. When David visited he carried out a full MOT and recommended a few small changes that hasn't resulted in us spending a fortune which we are delighted with. Just finished fitting the rest of the clay core heaters and Led Lighting to my mother in laws house and I am well impressed. She suffers from macular degeneration and her eyesight is failing a little bit but the new lighting has certainly improved things for her in the kitchen. Would certainly recommend these to anyone.
